Events
A 13.5 mile event (approx) for walkers and runners, around the Charnwood countryside.
This circular route goes through some of Leicestershire's best countryside, including Beacon Hill Country Park and Bradgate Park, situated within both the Charnwood Forest and The National Forest.
This is an undulating route, mainly on public footpaths, bridleways and the occasional country lane.
Start time for walkers 8:30. Start time for runners 9:30.
Entry fee £15, (£20 on the day). All finishers will receive a certificate.
There will be several checkpoints en-route, at which free refreshments will be provded.
Note that if you wish to retire from the event at a checkpoint, transport back to the start/finish will be arranged.
PLUS
A short family walk (new route for 2012), in aid of St Paul's School PTA.
A shorter and flatter walk, with a later start. This is an event for which we invite entrants to raise money for St Paul's PTA. This event is aimed at families,though everybody is welcome.
Start time 10:30. Entry fee £4 for individuals or £15 per family. All finishers will receive a medal.
All events start at the Woodhouse Eaves Village Hall, the main 13.5 mile event will finish here too, but the sponsored walk will finish at St Paul's school where there will be additional activities organised by the PTA.
